A Niger Delta activist, Mr Moses Mala has said High Chiefs Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo, Kestin and Geoffrey Pondi, Dennis Otuaro and Matthew Tonlagha should sustain their commendable synergy that is already reclaiming our creeks/environment and stabilizing Nigeria’s economy.

Mala noted that the said leaders of Gbaramatu Kingdom, have, via Tompolo’s Tantita Security Services Nigeria  Ltd, with mandate to block oil bunkering/protect national oil assets, the Otuaro-led Presidential Amnesty Programme, and other leverages, have positively impacted on the Niger Delta environment and Nigerian nation in more ways.

According to Mala, “the flora and fauna of the riverine creeks of the Niger Delta, were daily endangered by deleterious oil pollution from oil bunkering/theft activities, which had long deprived the people of its aquatic source of livelihood”, adding: “The acceptance and courageous execution of the onerous task of oil assets protection/bunkering prevention, is rapidly changing the narrative and meeting wish of the Ijaw, nay, the Niger Delta people, to reclaim their environment/creeks”.

“The community development initiatives, educational and skills acquisition revolution and empowerment programmes sponsored by Tompolo, PAP, Tantita and Matthew Tonlagha have greatly taken the youths off criminal and violent dispositions towards a secure environment and hence improved security of the waterways for productive socio-economic interactions by the people.

“This security of the oil-operating Niger Delta environment provided by actions of Tompolo and the said leaders has halted billion-dollars drain, staved off threats to national security and enhanced oil production and stabilized the largely oil-based economy of our beloved Nigerian nation.”
