…as RCCG Holy Ghost Congress Enters Fifth Day

The National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Francis Wale Oke, has urged Christians across the country to remain steadfast in prayer for Nigeria, noting that sustained intercession has been vital in preserving national unity.
Bishop Oke made the appeal on Thursday while ministering at the ongoing annual Holy Ghost Congress of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). Speaking on the theme “Ask Not, Have Not,” he encouraged believers to present their requests to God with passion and persistence, moving beyond routine prayer to embrace continual communion with Him.
“God despises lukewarm prayers,” Bishop Oke said. “Pour out your heart, pray with belief, and approach God’s throne with gratitude. Prayer is not a checklist—it is a heartfelt communion that aligns heaven with earth.” He emphasized passion, faith, and thanksgiving as essential elements of effective prayer.
The event also featured ministrations from other notable church leaders, including Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, Pastor Steven Rathod, Rev. Mercy Ezekiel, Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure of Throne Room Ministry, Rev. Yerima El-Samaila of Faith Foundation Church, and Pastor Leke Sanusi.
Additionally, RCCG General Overseer Pastor E.A. Adeboye addressed thousands of worshippers in a sermon titled “The Temple of the Holy Spirit,” reminding attendees that their bodies are sacred vessels intended for God’s glory and the dwelling of the Holy Spirit.
The week-long Holy Ghost Congress is scheduled to continue through the weekend with further sessions of worship, prayer, and teaching.
