CHIEFTAIN of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Udu Local Government Area, Delta State, Sir Sheba Kris Palama, has charged party leaders and members to remain united, focused, and committed to building a stronger APC capable of delivering electoral victories and attracting meaningful development to the area.
Palama gave the charge when he hosted a strategic general meeting of APC leaders and elders in Udu Local Government Area, aimed at strengthening party unity and positioning the APC for sustained political success and development.
The meeting, which held at Mofor Ekete-Inland, Udu Local Government Area, brought together party elders, stakeholders, elected officials, and grassroots leaders who unanimously pledged total support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, in the 2027 general elections.
Addressing the gathering, Sir Sheba Kris Palama, widely acknowledged as the APC leader in Udu LGA, said:
“We must work together as elders, leaders, and members to move the party forward in Udu,” stressing that unity and discipline remained critical to the party’s growth and relevance in the local government.
The meeting adopted several far-reaching resolutions, including the establishment of an Elders/Ethics Council to guide party conduct, strengthening caucus operations, harmonization of ward leadership structures, improved inclusion and representation of women, enforcement of discipline and party supremacy, and a unified strategic focus ahead of intensified political engagements in the coming months.
Speaking at the meeting, stakeholders including Chief Jite Brown, Special Adviser to the Governor underscored the importance of presenting a united front in addressing local challenges and advancing the APC’s agenda across Udu LGA.
A major highlight of the meeting was a motion moved by Chief Christian C.I. Williki, calling for the adoption of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the sole APC presidential candidate for the 2027 elections, and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as the party’s sole gubernatorial candidate in Delta State.
The motion was seconded by Valentine Onojeghuo., APC State Publicity Secretary, and was overwhelmingly adopted by the house through a voice vote moderated by Hon. Michael Ibada, SSA to the Governor of Delta State.
The event concluded with the distribution of Christmas packages to all participants by Sir S.K. Palama, as a gesture of appreciation and seasonal goodwill.
