The Military Pensions Board, MPB, has moved into urgent action following rising complaints from retired military personnel over delays in the payment of their November 2025 pension benefits.

The affected pensioners, whose accounts are domiciled with a first generation bank, expressed frustration as the delay extended beyond the expected payment date.

In a statement by the MPB spokesperson, Squadron Leader Aliyu Mohammed, the Board acknowledged the disruption and assured veterans that the situation was receiving immediate attention. The statement, titled “Notification on November 2025 Pension Payments,” emphasized that the Board was fully aware of the problem and was working closely with the bank to restore normalcy.

“The MPB wishes to inform all military pensioners whose pension accounts are domiciled with a bank ( name withheld) that the Board is aware of the delay in the receipt of their November 2025 pension,” Aliyu said, urging affected retirees to remain patient as efforts intensify to resolve the hitch.

He added that every possible measure was being taken to ensure that pensioners receive their entitlements without further delay. “We appeal for patience and understanding as every effort is being made to address the situation. The Board remains committed to ensuring the timely and consistent payment of all retirees’ benefits,” the statement read.

The MPB also conveyed the Chairman of regards, reaffirming its commitment to the welfare of military retirees and assuring them that payment timelines will return to normal once the bank-related glitch is cleared.
