HoganHost, NDIC and others shine at the 2025 Nigeria Technology Awards

The 2025 Nigeria Technology Awards (NITA) once again celebrated the organisations shaping the future of Nigeria’s digital ecosystem, honouring innovators whose work continues to strengthen the country’s tech landscape. Among this year’s standout winners was HoganHost, which clinched the prestigious “Most Innovative Web Hosting Company of the Year”, alongside industry giants such as OPay, Infinix, itel, NDIC, and DHL.

For HoganHost, the award represents more than industry recognition — it reflects a year marked by bold advancements and impactful solutions:

Launch of FreeDNS: providing developers, businesses, and everyday users a free, reliable DNS management platform.

ZARC Accreditation: expanding its capacity to register and manage African domain names and positioning the company for continental growth.

Nigeria’s First Public Domain Marketplace: enabling domain owners to publicly list active or expired domains, making domain trading more transparent and accessible.

Strategic Partnership with DigitalOcean: paving the way for instant cloud hosting across Africa starting January 2026, bringing global-standard cloud infrastructure to local users.

These milestones cement HoganHost’s reputation as a homegrown brand meeting and often surpassing global expectations.

But HoganHost was not the only trailblazer recognised at NITA 2025.

OPay received honours for its continued dominance in digital payments and financial inclusion, powering transactions for millions across Nigeria.

Infinix and itel were celebrated for their influence in mobile technology, making smartphones more accessible to Nigerians across all income levels.

NDIC (Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation) earned recognition for leveraging technology to strengthen banking security and consumer trust.

DHL was also awarded for its innovation in logistics, using tech-driven solutions to enhance parcel tracking, delivery speed, and customer experience.

The presence of these diverse winners from fintech and telecoms to logistics and public-sector institutions — highlights the breadth of innovation shaping Nigeria’s digital economy.

At the centre of HoganHost’s success are its co-founders, Joseph Effiok Hogan (CEO) and Atim Hogan (COO), whose commitment to affordability, accessibility and future-ready solutions continues to drive the company’s remarkable growth across Nigeria and Africa.

As NITA 2025 concludes, one message stands clear: innovation in Nigeria is thriving, powered not only by global-scale corporations but also by local brands determined to build solutions that truly meet the needs of people and businesses.

Congratulations to all the 2025 award winners the leaders pushing Nigeria’s tech ecosystem forward.
