The Diaspora Tinubu Support Group in Europe has applauded the nomination of former Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), as Minister of Defence, describing it as a timely decision given the nation’s current security needs.
The group said Gen. Musa’s long-standing experience in military leadership positions makes him a suitable choice for the role. It also commended President Bola Tinubu for what it termed a well-considered nomination.
Prince Emre Magbo, President of the Group, said the former CDS had demonstrated commitment throughout his service years, which he believes informed his selection.
“Nigeria is facing serious security challenges, and we believe his expertise will contribute greatly to ongoing efforts. Mr. President has made a wise and timely choice,” Magbo stated.
He urged Gen. Musa to give his best when confirmed as Minister, noting that Nigerians have high expectations.
“Going by the enthusiasm that followed his nomination, it is clear that many Nigerians have confidence in Gen. Musa. We believe he will not disappoint,” he added.
