The African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Delta State has said that it was coming strong with a clear objective of winning the 2027 general elections in the State.
Speaking after a stakeholders’ meeting of the ADC in Asaba, Chieftains and members of the state Transition Committee of the party, Ozegbe Lawrence and Omonigho Anthony, said the party would drive quality and purposeful leadership if given the mandate to govern the state in 2027.
They called on Deltans to embrace the ADC as a platform for renewal.
Ozegbe said Delta politics had reached a point where a new party and a new leadership direction had become inevitable.
He said ADC was out to field persons of integrity, who would selflessly serve the people in the various elective positions.
He announced that the party would commence revalidation of existing members and registration of new members on 19, December, noting that the exercise had already begun in some areas.
He said: “The purpose of this meeting is to identify key coordinators and assign them responsibilities for an aggressive membership drive across the State.”
On his part, Anthony Omonigho, said ADC was hoping to produce the next Governor of Delta State come 2027.
He described the coalition of political parties that metamorphosed to the party as an unstoppable movement that would be similar to the Obidient Movement of 2023.
