The countdown to one of the biggest praise nights in Africa has begun.
Unusual Praise 2025, which holds December 12, returns bigger, louder, and more spirit-filled than ever.
Unusual Praise which is hosted by Catholic Church of Divine Mercy, Lekki, has quickly grown to become the biggest of its kind within the Catholic community in Africa with explosive and spirit-filled ministrations by Megastar Acts such as Don Moen, Ron Kenoly, Sinach, Chioma Jesus, Nicole C Mullen, Olumide Dada, Dunsin Oyekan, Mahalia, Mercy Chinwo, Sr. Agatha Ozah, Joe Praize and a plethora of globally recognized gospel stars in previous years.
This year’s edition promises to be an incredible night of glorious praise and worship with Gospel Acts like Chioma Jesus, Moses Bliss, Sunmisola, Mr. M and Revelation, Chinyere Udoma, Sir Jude Nnam, Ada Zion, Bidemi, BJ Sax, and many more.
Addressung a press conference ahead of the event, the Chairman Organising Committee, Mr. Ikem Umezuoke, said that as usual, the Unusual Praise 2025 would also feature upcoming Catholic ministers and “promises an unforgettable spiritual connection, and most importantly a refreshing and soul lifting experience in the presence of God.” “It’s a night you can’t afford to miss,” he declared.
According to him, Unusual Praise has two goals – evangelization and empowerment.
“Unusual Praise aims to evangelize souls for Christ through praise and worship as well as bring everyone to a more spiritual and life-transforming communication with God.
“As a means to empower people, there is the Unusual Entrepreneurs which is an economic empowerment initiative created out of Unusual Praise. It combines seed-funding and mentorship from industry experts to candidates desiring to start and grow small businesses of their own,” he said.
He revealed that since inception, the Unusual Praise team had empowered over 610 candidates.
The theme of this year is “Bless the Lord, oh my soul (Psalm 103:1).”
Unusual Praise 2025 is set to take place at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos on the 12th of December.
The programme, according to the organiers, will go on all night and end with the Holy Mass.
