Nigerian-born artist, BJ Sam, has unveiled his new single, “Kombo na Yesu,” a vibrant fusion of Congolese rhythms and contemporary worship that is rapidly attracting global attention.
Released worldwide, the track stands out for its uplifting energy and rich multicultural foundation. BJ Sam weaves Lingala, French, and English into the song—an intentional move aimed at reaching a broader international audience and celebrating Africa’s linguistic diversity.
The single carries a powerful message centered on the victory of Jesus over death, delivering themes of hope, joy, and spiritual renewal. Its impact is already extending beyond the African continent, with the music video currently airing on major international platforms such as TBN UK and TRACE TV.
The release follows a notable milestone in BJ Sam’s career. His previous work, “Don’t Worry Everything Will Be Fine,” was invited for submission by the Recording Academy (GRAMMY Awards) and subsequently appeared on the official GRAMMY voting ballot in the Global Performance category—an achievement that underscores his rising global profile.
BJ Sam’s music career has long been defined by cross-cultural expression and worldwide collaboration. His unique blend of African rhythmic heritage and Western melodic influences has earned him recognition as an emerging voice in contemporary world music. He first gained international visibility when his track “Mon Amour” was featured in the Hollywood film Heart of Fatness (2017), drawing additional interest from the global network TV5Monde.
