One of Nigeria’s leading counselling institutions, ADI College of Counselling & Psychotherapy Nigeria (ADI-CCPN), has commemorated a decade of excellence and impact, celebrating its 10th anniversary alongside its 2025 graduation ceremony.
In her anniversary address, the Founder and Provost of ADI-CCPN, Dr. Oluwatimilehin Oyebode, reflected on the institution’s remarkable journey over the past ten years, describing it as one rooted in purpose, resilience, and unwavering commitment to human development.
“Over the last decade, ADI-CCPN has not only trained counselors but has transformed lives, empowered communities, and created platforms where purpose-driven dreams can grow,” she said.
Oyebode noted that the institution was founded with a clear and compelling mission: to promote professional counseling and equip competent, ethical, and globally relevant counselors capable of making meaningful societal impact.
Highlighting ADI-CCPN’s growing footprint in the education and mental health sector, she revealed that the institution has successfully graduated 3,876 students across various programmes and has reached over 5,000 individuals through conferences, trainings, workshops, and community-based interventions since inception.
She expressed profound appreciation to the institution’s partners, Board of Directors, faculty members, administrative staff, and her husband, acknowledging their steadfast support and belief in the vision.
Also speaking at the event, Chairman of the institution, Pastor Rotimi Oyebode, described ADI-CCPN’s growth as a testimony of faith, discipline, and resilience.
“What began as a seed—driven by passion and guided by a clear vision—has grown into a strong institution whose impact continues to ripple across lives and generations,” he said.
He charged the graduating counselors to walk confidently into their professional callings, reminding them that they are ambassadors of quality, integrity, and excellence in the counseling profession.
Officially registered in 2015 with the vision of advancing counseling practice in Africa, ADI-CCPN received approval from the Ministry of Education in 2019 as a recognized counselling institution. Today, it stands as a trusted training hub for aspiring and practicing counselors seeking professional competence and global relevance.
For the December 2025 graduating cohort, the institution graduated over 50 counselors across various specialisations, including Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Diploma Honour, Advanced Diploma Honour, and Master’s programmes — further strengthening the pool of skilled mental health professionals in Nigeria and beyond.
The colourful ceremony was attended by esteemed members of the faculty and administration, including the Director of Studies, Dr. Segun Matthew; the Registrar, Mrs. Irene Etuk; Director of Administration, Temitayo Owosina; and the Director of Counseling, Mr. Mfon Etuk, among others.
As ADI-CCPN steps into its next decade, the institution remains committed to raising competent counselors, shaping ethical practitioners, and advancing mental health awareness across Africa and the global community — inviting aspiring counselors, institutions, and partners to be part of its growing legacy of excellence.
