An Oyo Prince, Prince Afeez Kolade Siyanbola Ladigbolu, has joined dignitaries across the country in celebrating elder statesman Chief Bode George as he marks his 80th birthday.

Prince Ladigbolu, who leads Royal Colony Homes Limited and chairs the boards of Oceantrack Holdings, Alkafiz Energy Limited, Captain Black Heavy Duty (CCL), and Afcom Media Limited, issued a congratulatory message praising Chief George’s longstanding contributions to national development.

In the statement made available to journalists, the prince described the milestone as both a personal achievement for Chief George and an opportunity for national reflection. He noted that the former military governor and prominent political leader has, over several decades, played visible roles in public service and party leadership.

Prince Ladigbolu commended Chief George’s involvement in strengthening democratic processes and offering guidance at various points in Nigeria’s political evolution. He said the octogenarian has often provided a stabilising perspective in national discourse.

According to him, Chief George’s leadership style—marked by discipline, consistency, and commitment to public service—has earned him recognition across different sectors. He also highlighted the elder statesman’s support for political mentorship and his efforts toward promoting unity within the political landscape.

Prince Ladigbolu expressed hope that Chief George’s wealth of experience will continue to benefit the country. He prayed for long life, strength, and continued impact for the celebrant.

The statement was signed by Prince Kolade Afeez Siyanbola Ladigbolu, Grandson of the late Oba Siyanbola Onikepe Ladigbolu.
