By Jeff Agbodo
Former Anambra State governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dr. Ike Oligbo, has congratulated Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo on his victory in the just-concluded November 8, 2025 governorship election.
Chief Oligbo described Governor Soludo’s 21-over-21 victory as a clear reflection of the people’s confidence in his leadership and achievements during his first term.
He urged other contestants to accept the outcome of the election in good faith, unite, and contribute toward building a more prosperous, peaceful, and inclusive Anambra State.
In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen on Thursday by his media aide and Director-General of the Ike Oligbo Foundation (IOF), Comrade Ashinze Nweje, Oligbo said the governor’s reelection represents the collective will of the people for continuity and consolidation of developmental progress.
He also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, media, election observers, civil society organizations, and the people of Anambra State for ensuring a peaceful, transparent, and credible election. He noted that Soludo’s victory was both a political and divine endorsement of his good governance.
“Your first term laid a solid foundation—improved road infrastructure, enhanced security, better schools, a stronger healthcare system, thriving markets, and job opportunities for our youths. I am confident that the next four years under your leadership will bring even greater progress and shared prosperity,” Oligbo stated.
Oligbo, who hails from Umuoji community in Idemili North Local Government Area, pledged his full support to Governor Soludo to help actualize his vision of making Anambra a destination hub for investment and development in Nigeria.
He further thanked Ndi Anambra for their wisdom and foresight in voting for APGA and Soludo, noting that the governor deserved reelection to consolidate his first-term achievements.
Oligbo also urged the people of Anambra to continue supporting APGA, describing it as “the only truly progressive and democratic party in Nigeria that promotes and delivers good governance.”
