The Northern Christian Youth Forum (NCYF) has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for reaffirming his confidence in Vice President Kashim Shettima, following recent remarks by the President praising Shettima’s loyalty and dedication.

Led by its President, Rev. Pinot Atuluku, the forum expressed gratitude to the President for standing by Shettima despite calls from some quarters for his replacement ahead of the 2027 elections.

The group described Shettima as the most senior political leader from the North who has consistently carried everyone along, irrespective of religious affiliation. They also highlighted his role in fostering peace and harmony across the region through what they termed “strategic interventions” to ensure inclusivity for Christians.

Rev. Atuluku further pledged that the forum would mobilize up to 20 million Northern Christian votes for President Tinubu in the next general elections.

“We are happy with the assurance that Vice President Shettima remains on the ticket. His commitment to inclusivity and his bridge-building efforts in the North have strengthened unity,” the group stated.
