The Eunice Spring of Life Foundation, ESLF, a Non Governmental Organisation, NGO, has presented cash prizes to the two Best Graduating male and female pupils of the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, Camp 2 Learning Centre, Daudu innGuma Local Government Area, LGA, of Benue state as reward for their outstanding academic attainments.
ESLF is a NGO founded by the former First Lady of Benue state, Dr. Eunice Ortom that provide interventions in various sectors.
The Programme Coordinator of ESLF, Dr. Comfort Abaa, who made the presentation to the Best Graduating Male and Best Graduating Female at the 3rd Graduation, Award and Prize Giving Day of the learning centre held at Daudu IDP Camp 2, said it was one of the Foundation’s ways to encourage academic excellence.
Dr. Abaa who praised the sterling academic feat of the Best Graduating Pupils, congratulated all the graduands charging them and their teachers to continue to work hard and strive for excellence in all their endeavors.
She emphasized that ESLF, which had been part of the IDPs Camp 2 Learning Centre, hosted the ESLF 7th Annual Literacy Project in the school as a way of promoting literacy skills among the children and featured Spelling Bee contests with various prizes won by pupils at that event.
Earlier, Head Teacher of the IDPs Camp 2 Learning Centre, Daudu, Mr. Osbert Nyiatagher praised the invaluable role ESLF had played in the development of the school.
Responding, the elated awardees, Precious Iorumbur and Vincent Nyitse thanked ESLF and Dr. Ortom for the gesture describing it as a huge morale booster for greater achievements.
