The management of the University of Abuja has congratulated Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State on the affirmation of his electoral victory by the Supreme Court.
In a statement signed by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Patricia Manko Lar, the institution described the verdict as well-deserved and a proud moment for the university, noting that Governor Okpebholo is a distinguished alumnus.
“On behalf of the University community, I warmly congratulate His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State, on the affirmation of his electoral victory by the Supreme Court on Thursday, 10 August 2025,” Professor Lar stated.
“We have no doubt that this victory is truly well-deserved—not only for your party and the good people of Edo State, but also as a proud and inspiring moment for the Alumni Association of our great university.”
She added, “I rejoice with you and wish you continued success as you serve the people of Edo State. We urge you to continue providing credible, people-focused leadership, and to demonstrate—as a distinguished alumnus of our great university—that your commitment to service and humanity remains unshakable.”
Lar further assured that the University of Abuja would continue to support and celebrate its alumni who are making it proud across Nigeria and beyond.
