Amaechi

Arewa leader in the south and Sarkin Hausawa, Rivers state Alhaji Musa Saidu has berated former Minister of Transportation , Mr Rotimi Amaechi for claiming to be hungry.

Saidu said it was unfortunate that Amaechi chose to mock Nigerians that were truly hungry , noting that as a former two term Speaker of the Rivers state House of Assembly, governor of Rivers state and two term Minister in the country Amaechi should simply make it clear to Nigerians that he was worried that he had been out of power in the last two years of the government of President Bola Tinubu.

“Is Amaechi truly hungry ? He simply wants power, he should be clear on this. He is like a fish that has been out of the river. Amaechi has been out of power in the last two years so he is troubled.
I agree with Wike that Amaechi is hungry for power. “, he said.

Saidu alleged that history may not be fair to Amaechi among the northern community in Rivers state because his government allegedly took over the cemetery allotted to northerners in Port Harcourt while he was governor, adding that the action allegedly disconnected several northern families in the state from the memories of their dear ones interred in the burial ground.

He said as a leader of the northern community and Arewa leader in the south he reached out to several prominent northern leaders in the country to allegedly prevail on the state government then to drop the move but they were rebuffed.

“Amaechi probably thinks Nigerians are hostile to history , we northerners will never forget him. A burial ground belonging to northerners since 1914, his administration took over the place. An action many across the country described as sacrilegious. We cried against it in newspapers. The legacy he ( Amaechi ) left is not a sweet one among the northern community in Rivers. Except for the government of Dr Peter Odili after that era northerners were denied political appointments in the state “

Saidu said any coalition against Tinubu come 2027 was dead on arrival.

” Any coalition against Tinubu is dead on arrival . They came with a coalition that brought former president Muhamadu Buhari and his tenure became a disaster. Buhari left a legacy of banditry, terrorism , Boko Haram, insecurity in several states in the north and hunger. When he took over as president Boko Haram was only in Maiduguri. But before he left insecurity and hunger had spread to almost all parts of the north. Amaechi was among those who said Jonathan was clueless. Are they not the same people who formed nPDP ! We can’t be deceived a second time”, he said.

While wishing Nigerians a happy Salah celebration Saidu said the northern community did not get Salah rams from the federal government this time..” I was told the federal government gave rams to a Rivers indigenous Muslim leader. The northern community in the state did not get ram from the federal government. The burden will be on me to take care of the Hausa community as the Sarkin Hausawa. I pray Allah provides “, he added.
