Jalingo – The traditional ruler of Sarkin Kudu Chiefdom in Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba State, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu Sale, has commended Governor Agbu Kefas for his efforts in restoring peace and security to the region, particularly through decisive actions against kidnapping and banditry.

Delivering his Eid al-Adha message, the third-class chief praised the governor’s commitment to tackling insecurity, which had previously disrupted life and economic activities in the area.

“Before Governor Agbu Kefas came into office, our situation was dire,” the monarch said.

“Kidnappers operated freely, abducting people and demanding ransom. Our farmers could no longer access their fields due to fear. But today, through strengthened security measures, these criminal activities have been curbed.”

Alhaji Sale noted that the improved security environment has allowed life to return to normal in Sarkin Kudu, with residents now able to move freely and resume their daily activities.

He also assured the governor of the continued support of both Muslim and Christian residents of the chiefdom, expressing confidence in Governor Kefas’ leadership and vision for the development of Taraba State.

In his message to the Muslim faithful, the monarch urged them to embody the spirit of sacrifice and obedience exemplified by Prophet Abraham, and called on leaders at all levels to govern with selflessness and a strong commitment to public service.
