Jos – The newly appointed  Managing Director of the North Central Development Commission, NCDC, Cyril Tsenyil, has disclosed that one of his primary goals while in office would be to implement youth-focused policies and empowerment programmes, as he recognizes the potential and innovation of young people in the region.

Tsenyil spoke when the leadership of the Northern Majority Alliance visited him, expressing confidence that he would not let down the expectations of the people whom he has been called to serve.

He noted, “The youths are the future, and I intend to actively involve them in shaping the Commission’s direction. My administration will maintain an open-door policy for youth participation.”

However, the Alliance also commended President Bola Tinubu for his inclusive approach towards ethnic nationalities in Northern Nigeria, as well as for the appointment of the Board and Management of the North Central Development Commission, NCDC.

In a statement signed by its Coordinator, Ibrahim Bunu, and Publicity Secretary, Brian Lang, the Alliance appreciated the President for demonstrating a strong sense of justice and addressing the structural imbalances he inherited from previous governments.

Bunu described the appointment of Tsenyil as a “round peg in a round hole,” and expressed optimism that Tsenyil and his team would execute the Commission’s mandate effectively, fulfilling President Tinubu’s expectations under the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda.’

“We thank President Bola Tinubu for appointing the Board and Management of the North Central Development Commission. We also congratulate Chairman Cosmos Akiyir, Managing Director, Dr. Cyril Tsenyil, and other appointees.

“The Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a slogan; it is a living reality reflected in the developmental strides under this administration. President Tinubu’s people-oriented policies have restored confidence, equity, and national integration,” he said.

Cyril Tsenyil is a former Accountant General of Plateau State, he also worked at the ANAN University.
