PDP is a sinking Ship – Hon Akpanke

As the 2027 General elections draws near, nine members of the National Assembly from Cross River State in ruling the APC including a PDP House of Representatives member, Hon Peter Akpanke have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu for a second term in office.
The endorsement under the auspeces National Assembly Caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caucus in the state disclosed that President Tinubu’s initiative on the Lagos /Calabar coastal highway was one of the reasons why they wanted continuity amongst other developmental strides.
They also added that at the state level , Governor Otu and his deputy, Hon Peter Odey were doing wonderful things to take Cross River to the next level.
Speaking to newsmen and supporters in Calabar, the Caucus Chairman and Senator representing Cross River Central Senatorial District; Sen. Eteng Jonah Williams, described the endorsement as a collective and deliberate decision, urging all Cross Riverians to rally behind Otu, Tinubu for second term.
His words “Our President has done so well and for us in the National Assembly, we have seen it especially the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, which you and I shall enjoy. For that reason, we endorse him for a second term so that the road would be completed. Let us all vote for President Tinubu as our Sole Candidate for 2027 elections.”
Sen Williams lauded President Tinubu for the Students loan initiative, infrastructure development across the geopolitical zones in the country as well as other development strides in other sector of the economy including Oil and gas industry, describing him as a courageous leader.
Speaking further, Sen. Eteng noted that Governor Otu has made visible progress across the state, including the rehabilitation of the state library and the improvement in security through the recently launched Operation Okwok.
“Today, what we have seen is enough for us to go back and sleep and ask Sen. Bassey Otu to continue the good works. Our governor has done well and deserves our accolades.
“We are not mincing words, we are asking that he continues his good works in the state. So we endorse him for second term”, Sen Eteng said.
On his part, the PDP House of Representative member representing Obudu,Obanliku and Bekwarra at the Natiional Assembly , Hon Peter Akpsnke who officially declared that he now officially moved to the Ruling All Progressives Congress said it was obvious that his former party was now a sinking Ship.
He added that he joined his colleagues from the National Assembly to endorse President Tinubu and. Governor Otu for the growth and development they have brought at federal and state level.
