Solewant Group, a major player in the global oil and gas services sector, has unveiled an ambitious 10-year strategic vision on technological innovation in its services and products.
In the company’s spotlight presentation at the just- concluded Nigeria Oil and Gas Opportunity Fair (NOGOF) 2025, the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr Solomon Ewanehi reaffirmed the company’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
NOGOF 2025, hosted at the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) headquarters in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State from May 20–22, spotlighted opportunities for indigenous capacity building in Africa’s energy industry.
Represented by the Executive Secretary of Solewant Energy Training Institute (SETI), Dr. Ben Ubleble, the company’s Group CEO, delivered a rousing message on Day 2 of the event.
The presentation, which focused on Solewant’s strategic evolution, reaffirmed the company’s central role in delivering cutting-edge pipe manufacturing, coating solutions, and training for the oil, gas, and water industries.
Ewanehi stated that Solewant’s journey began in 2006 with a bold strategic vision known as the “Solewant Road Map.”
According to him, this vision has metamorphosed into the “Solewant Group Strategic Roadmap Plus,” a comprehensive framework designed to steer the Group’s ambitions for the next 10 years.
He enumerated the company’s evolution to include the commissioning of Africa’s largest pipe coating plant in 2016, an ultra-modern industrial complex in Alode-Eleme, Rivers State, and a thriving portfolio of subsidiaries—including Solewant Nigeria Limited, Field Joint Coating Ltd., SSPC Ltd., and Pipes and Metals Industry Ltd.
“Our operations reflect a deeply rooted commitment to quality, transparency, and local content development,” Ewanehi stated, highlighting the Group’s role in reversing Nigeria’s historical deficit in pipeline production and coating technologies.
From servicing International Oil Companies like Total, NAOC, and Chevron to delivering high-performance field joint and solid epoxy coating solutions, Ewanehi stated that Solewant has continued to deliver value across the continent.
Ewanehi also used the occasion to unveil the programmes for the forthcoming Solewant Group 9th Energy Summit that will be held on November 27 and 28, 2025.
Ewanehi’s vision for the future was unambiguous: “Our next 10-year Road Map Plus prioritizes continued investment in people, plants, and products. We are committed to providing cutting-edge solutions required to build and deliver masterclass projects for our clients in Africa and across the globe. Our Group offers these solutions in line with its strategic objectives, with a clear focus on emerging, ongoing, and upcoming projects in Africa.”
He declared that with strategic foresight, robust facilities, and a drive to empower local talent, the company remains a formidable force in Africa’s energy future.
