However, the Scrum Day Nigeria – Lagos 2025 conference is scheduled to hold on March 5, 2025, at the Civic Center, Victoria Island, with the theme: “Innovation and Products for Better Outcomes.”
Speaking at a media briefing in Lagos, Co-Convener, Scrum Day Nigeria, Sam Adesoga, said Nigeria’s business environment is facing critical challenges, including: economic instability; inefficiency and low productivity; slow product development; lack of innovation; among others.
To this end, he said Scrum Day Nigeria – Lagos 2025, is a premier conference dedicated to advancing better ways of working, product innovation, and business agility in Nigeria and as well designed for business leaders, entrepreneurs, product managers, and technology professionals eager to adopt modern ways of working for products that deliver better business outcomes.
Adesoga, said business agility could be the solution to the critical challenges the Nigeria business environment is facing, explaining that business agility has been successfully adopted worldwide, boosting productivity by up to 300 percent, reducing product development time by 40-60 percent, and improving customer satisfaction by 30 percent or more.
According to him, “Scrum allows businesses to deliver products incrementally, responding to market changes quickly. Agile companies reduce waste, increasing team effectiveness and revenue.
“Organizations that adopt modern product management practices are more adaptable, innovative, and quicker to respond to market opportunities. Agile Product Management prioritises customer feedback; ensuring businesses build products people want.
“The success of companies like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon is rooted in Agile and Scrum methodologies. Now is the time for Nigerian businesses to embrace the game-changing approach.
“Scrum Day Nigeria 2025 is not just another conference but a movement towards a more effective, innovative, and globally competitive Nigerian business landscape.
“Business leaders, entrepreneurs, and corporate professionals are encouraged to attend and gain actionable strategies that will drive business success.
Also speaking, Founder of Learntor, Mercy George-Igbafe, said 10 expert speakers in Agile, product management, business transformation, and leadership would grace the event and share strategies for helping Nigerian businesses become more adaptive, resilient, and innovative.
“One of the biggest problems we see in Nigeria is that businesses assume they know what customers want. The truth is, you don’t know until you ask. Scrum creates a system where businesses continuously test and refine their products based on real customer feedback.”
