Gov Abdullahi Sule
By Daniel Abia, Lafia
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Nasarawa State, Barrister Labaran Magaji, has stated that Governor Abdullahi Sule’s achievements have surpassed his campaign promises since assuming office.
He made this assertion on Friday in Lafia, during a courtesy visit by members of the Nasarawa State Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), led by Isaac Ukpoju.
Commending media practitioners for their dedication and accuracy in reporting, Barr. Magaji emphasized their role in attracting investors to the state.
“If you do not tell your own side of the story, the press will rely on speculation. No matter how sensitive the information, it is always better to present the truth to avoid misrepresentation. Governor Sule’s media engagement has earned the trust of investors and placed Nasarawa State on the global map.”
Barr. Magaji highlighted the Governor’s major accomplishments, including:
Increased revenue generation
Massive infrastructure development in rural and urban areas
Near completion of the multi-billion-naira State Secretariat Complex
Youth empowerment programs that have trained and equipped thousands in technical and vocational skills
He also credited Governor Sule’s visionary leadership for the discovery and exploration of petroleum in Obi and Keana Local Government Areas, as well as the identification of the country’s largest lithium deposit.
“Due to the Governor’s efforts, Nasarawa has become a top investment destination and an emerging industrial hub in North-Central Nigeria. Several lithium processing companies have already set up operations, creating thousands of jobs for youths within and outside the state.”
The SSG urged journalists to remain focused on promoting the state’s economic potential and development, emphasizing that accurate reporting plays a key role in driving investments and progress
