 Dr. Omowunmi Temitope Adebayo, a prominent cybersecurity expert and co-founder of Septagus Consulting, has been awarded a Doctor of Business Administration in Project Management from Lagos State University (LASU).

The degree was conferred during the university’s 27th convocation ceremony for the 2022/2023 academic session.

Dr. Adebayo, who boasts over 20 years of experience in information security and project management, was recognized by the Governor of Lagos State with a handshake during the ceremony.

In her professional career, Dr. Adebayo serves as an Information Security expert and Project Director for Dangote Group, specializing in ISMS, IT, SMS, ITIL, PMP, CCNA, and Cybersecurity. Her extensive experience spans across industry, healthcare, and utilities sectors, where she has conducted compliance audits, risk assessments, and implemented security policies to prevent data breaches.

Her expertise includes leading critical projects such as ISO 27001, ERP Implementations, DLP Enterprise Solutions, and NIST Implementations.

She has held key positions as an Information Security Lead, IT Project Director, and Service Delivery/End User Support Manager.

Dr. Adebayo’s scholarly contributions include publications on cybersecurity interactions in Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Agile Project Management, and Information Security Management Systems. She has received commendations from the CTO of Dangote Group and the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Science and Technology for her work in preventing data breaches and raising IT awareness.

Her cybersecurity awareness efforts have also been recognized by organizations such as Ethnos Technologies. Dr. Adebayo continues to conduct workshops and awareness sessions for SMEs and the cyber community, focusing on compliance with ISO and NIST standards and safeguarding information assets.
