Stakeholders drum support for DUG in Ika

A body, Delta Unity Group , has called for greater support for its founder Mr Chiedu Ebie in Ika area of the state, assuring that the group was set to liberate the area from what it dubbed “political slavery.”

Jerome Utomi, media aide to Ebie  in a statement made available to newsmen said  Coordinator of DUG in Ika South, Mr Christopher  Okafor spoke when he led leaders and members of the group on a visit to Ward 2, Ime-Obi, Agbor, in Ika South Local Government Area. 

Okafor listed the achievements of Ebie who is also  the Chairman, Governing Board, Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, for the people of Ika Federal Constituency,  assuring that the people of  more democratic gains if they  support DUG.

He also enjoined  the entire people of Ika South to keep supporting Chiedu Ebie and DUG for the overall development of the local government.

Also speaking, Evang. Paul Ebede urged all persons in Ika South to identify with DUG as they work together with their leader, Chiedu Ebie to actualize the positive change they all desired  to move Ika South forward.

On his part,  Mr Felix Idehen, DUG leader in Ward 2 said that the group had come to better the lives of the people of Ika South, noting that every well meaning Agbor and Abavo person in the local government should embrace DUG 

He specifically thanked Ebie for putting smiles on the faces of his people with his achievement so far as Chairman of the NDDC,  urging  the people to remain supportive of Ebie.

 Co-ordinator, DUG,  in Ward 2, Mr Fidelis Omoile expressed joy over the success of the meeting which recorded a huge turn out of members. He used the medium to pledge the Ward’s continued loyalty to Ebie and DUG.
