Financial hardship remains a harsh reality for many students at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), where the rising costs of tuition, rent, and basic living expenses create significant obstacles to academic success.

However, a new charity initiative spearheaded by philanthropist and businessman Okuafiaka Bright Onyebuchi, popularly known as King Concord, is providing much-needed relief to struggling students.

Recognizing the growing financial crisis affecting students, King Concord stepped in through his Happy Man Foundation for the Less Privileged, a long-standing initiative dedicated to community upliftment.

“Education should never come at the cost of basic survival,” he stated. “No student should have to choose between food and school.”

Through his latest act of generosity, Okuafiaka has not only alleviated financial stress for many students but has also restored hope. Beneficiaries of his support expressed deep gratitude, emphasizing the profound impact of such assistance.

“When people in privileged positions step up, it changes everything,” one student shared. “It’s not just about the money or the donations—it’s about being seen and supported.”

For King Concord, philanthropy is not just an act of kindness but a responsibility—one he has embraced wholeheartedly. His commitment to giving back remains unwavering, and as long as there are people in need, he vows to continue making a difference.
