My role beyond organising pilgrimages – NCPC Boss 

Bishop Stephen Adebgite, the  Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), has reiterated that his duty goes beyond organising pilgrimages to fostering peace and unity in Nigeria.

Bishop Adegbite stated this when    the Executives of the Tekan Women Fellowship Association, Jos, paid him a courtesy visit  on Tuesday in Abuja.

This is contained in a statement by Mr Celestine Toruka, Deputy Director and Head, Media and Public Relations of the commission.

Adebgite  commended the women for their resilience and dedication to service in the Christian community.

 He  acknowledged the First Lady , Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, describing her as the “Esther of our time” and a “beacon of hope and light” to the body of Christ.

Adegbite assured the association of his support for their forthcoming programme in March.

He expressed his commitment to running his office with integrity, stating.

“I will run this office with a clean hand, and show people how it is done,” he said.

Earlier, Rev. Dr. Achuche Zaka, Chairman of the planning committee, praised  Adegbite for his excellent leadership style.

He said that Nigerians are watching him, adding that he has  earned the respect of many.

Recall that the  association will be celebrating  its  golden jubilee  in March.

Adebgite will be a  special guest of honour at the event, and  will also receive a distinguished Excellent Service award.
