Nigerian influencer, entrepreneur and advocate for intentional living and lifestyle, Demure born Nneamaka Oghenetejiri Solomon has thrown out of the window the idea that a woman’s value is tied to her marital status.

In a chat with Potpourri, she declares, “A woman’s value is not determined by her marital status. Marriage should be about partnership, not survival or societal validation. If a marriage is not serving her well-being, she has every right to leave,” she said.

As a single mother, Demure has firsthand experience with societal judgment. “There is a lot of judgment because society still holds onto outdated beliefs about family structures. People assume a child must be raised by both parents to thrive, but I have seen firsthand that love, stability, and intentional parenting matter more than just having two people in a home. Being a single mother is not a limitation. It is just another path,” she states

On the topic of celebrity relationships and public breakups, Demure acknowledged the pressures of fame, saying, “Marriage is already complicated, and being in the public eye makes it worse. The problem is that people consume celebrity relationships as entertainment and forget that these are real people with emotions. At the end of the day, what matters is happiness and peace, not public opinion.”

Beyond influencing, Demure has built a successful career in marketing and brand development. “My journey has been one of resilience. I was married before, and I am now a single mother, which comes with its own challenges.

 I started influencing in 2018 and have worked with both big and small brands. Over time, I expanded into business and marketing, helping brands grow their presence. Right now, I am building my own agency, which is already in the works,” she revealed.
