LAGOS — THE Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, recently engaged the second cohort of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy, LJLA, Fellows on the critical role of mindset in governance.
Drawing from his extensive experience in public service, Hamzat said: “A leader’s mindset is the foundation upon which decisions, strategies, and governance frameworks are built. Without the right mindset – one that embraces resilience, accountability, and innovation—leadership becomes reactive rather than proactive, limiting its ability to drive meaningful change.”
On his part, Executive Secretary of LJLA Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, who engaged the Fellows, said: “This session provided invaluable insights into the realities of leadership. I am confident that our Fellows will carry forward these lessons, applying them in their journeys toward impactful governance.”
