The Christian Leadership Skills Incorporated, CLSI, in conjunction with McPherson University, Seriku Sotayo, Ogun State is set to produce its first set of graduates in Executive Diploma in Church Management at the coming convocation ceremony of the university.

Addressing newsmen on the coming event, the Chief Executive Officer, Christian Leadership Skills Incorporated,  Rev. Albert Aina, said 42 students would be graduating during the convocation ceremony.

“The programme arose from a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, signed between the Christian Leadership Skills Incorporated, the curriculum promoters, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Rev. Albert Aina and McPherson University led by the pioneer Vice- Chancellor, Prof. Adeniyi Agunbiade in July 2022 and implemented by the current Vice- Chancellor, Prof. Francis Igbasan, to run a course in Executive Diploma in Church Management.

“The course is a three-month online ministerial development and training programme designed for General Overseers, Senior Pastors, church leaders and Christian business executives. The Christian Leadership Skills Incorporated provides and facilitates the curriculum, while McPherson University is responsible for the administration and certification of the successful candidates,” he said.

Aina listed the subjects offered to include Church Human Resources Management, Church Management Fundamentals, Ministry Paradigm Shift, Ministry Leadership System, Digital Technology and Computer Operation in Church Management, Ministerial Ethics, Church Financial Management among others.

On the purposes of the course, Aina stated: “It will bring a trajectory-changing perspective. The participants will see how business management principles and leadership tools comport with Biblical guidance and how things can work with God’s blessings.”

Aina noted that participants were drawn from as far as the United States, Zimbabwe among others.

He charged Christian leaders to understand that they are leading human beings and need to know how to manage them and that they should learn about institutional planning.

Speaking on the occasion, the VC of McPherson University, Prof. Francis Igbasan, recommended the programme for Christian leaders who want to make a difference in their ministries.

“The programme has been certified by relevant authorities and that is why the products will be graduating with our regular students. This is a programme people should be made aware of,” he added.
