A’Ibom Govt reiterates commitment to rewarding hard work

The Akwa Ibom State Government, under the leadership of Governor Umo Eno, has reaffirmed its commitment to recognizing and rewarding excellence among its citizens.

Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prince Enobong Uwah, made this known in a statement released yesterday in Uyo. He announced that individuals and groups nominated for their exceptional performances would be honored during the “ARISE Happy Hour & Evening of Rewards, Recognition, and Celebration” event scheduled for today at the Amphitheater, Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo.

Prince Uwah, who chairs the event’s organizing committee, revealed that top-performing civil servants in various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) would receive ₦1 million each.

He further disclosed additional reward categories, including:

Recognition of best-performing Local Government Areas from the “Christmas Unplugged 2024.”

Grants of ₦750,000 each to 400 female youths and “Ladies in White” under the Ibom LED Entrepreneurship Accelerator Program, totaling ₦300 million.

₦500,000 grants to 50 winners of the Arise Home Farmers Scheme.

Special rewards for outstanding athletes from the 2024 Governor’s Cup.

Uwah emphasized that the event, led by Governor Umo Eno, aims to celebrate hard work while providing top-tier entertainment. He highlighted the administration’s focus on empowering citizens, particularly female youths, who play a significant role in the state’s support structure.

“The Governor will honor and reward individuals and groups who have excelled in their respective fields, demonstrating dedication and excellence,” Uwah stated.
