Man jailed for 6 months over intimidation of FRSC officials

A Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Jimeta, Yola, Adamawa State, on January 7, 2025, convicted Mr. Nuhu Isah to six months in prison with an option of an N20,000 fine.

According to a press statement by FRSC’s Corps Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, Isah, on Wednesday, The defendant; a passer-by, had on 5th of January 2025 while recording FRSC Patrol team intimidated and further instigated passengers to mob the FRSC team who were conducting their duty.

In reaction to the incident, the Corps Marshal, FRSC, Shehu Mohammed urged all road users to contribute to safer highways and to refrain from actions that disrupt law enforcement.

“The FRSC remains committed to creating safer roads, and threats from miscreants will not deter us,” Mohammed added.
