Victor Anaele hosts thanksgiving service as RCN, Uyo, celebrates milestone year

The Remnant Christian Network (RCN) in Uyo held its end-of-year Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, December 8, 2024, marking the culmination of a remarkable and transformative year for the ministry.

The service, hosted by Reverend Victor Anaele, brought together church members and the broader community in an atmosphere filled with gratitude and reflection. This year’s Thanksgiving was particularly significant, as it marked the ministry’s first full year of operation in Uyo.

Reflecting on the journey, Rev. Anaele acknowledged both the challenges and victories of the past year, emphasizing the role of God’s unwavering mercy in sustaining the ministry through both expected and unforeseen circumstances.

In his sermon, Rev. Anaele drew inspiration from Matthew 6:9, focusing on the words, “Our Father who art in heaven…” He highlighted the importance of recognizing God as a Father before truly honoring His name, urging worshipers to move beyond gratitude for blessings and into a deeper acknowledgment of God’s holiness and eternal nature.

“True worship is not just about the testimonies we share of what God has done for us, but about honoring Him for who He is—merciful, loving, and holy,” Rev. Anaele said during the service.

The Thanksgiving Service also featured Reverend Chris Okolo of Shared Life Assembly, who led the congregation in a time of heartfelt worship. Attendees described the worship experience as deeply moving and reflective, underscoring the spirit of reverence and gratitude that defined the gathering.

As the year comes to a close, the Thanksgiving Service provided the ministry an opportunity to reflect on its progress while setting a hopeful tone for the year ahead. Rev. Anaele encouraged the congregation to carry the lessons of gratitude and reverence into their daily lives, emphasizing the need for a close, enduring relationship with God in all circumstances.

“This Thanksgiving isn’t just about what we’ve been through or achieved; it’s a moment to recognize and honor the faithfulness of God that has seen us through it all,” he remarked.

The event celebrated not only the growth of RCN Uyo but also its mission to foster a deeper connection between individuals and their faith. Under Rev. Anaele’s leadership, the ministry has continued to establish itself as a significant part of the Christian community in Uyo, with a strong focus on teaching, worship, and spiritual growth.

Looking ahead, Rev. Anaele expressed optimism for the coming year, promising more impactful gatherings and reaffirming the ministry’s commitment to its core values.

For those unable to attend, the Thanksgiving Service was described as an enriching experience and a fitting conclusion to an extraordinary year for the ministry. As RCN Uyo prepares to enter another chapter, its leadership remains steadfast in its mission to promote growth, outreach, and the continuous sharing of God’s word.
