Brethren, in about ten days, the world would be marking the birth of Christ. To a Christian, the birth of Christ is significant in many ways. One of which is simply as written in one of the popular Christmas Carols. “ Joy to the World”.
Brethren what happens when we rejoice? Tears, pains, lamentations, frustrations, sorrow all give way because they are wiped out with the joy of the Lord.
It is a fact that the year is coming to an end but by his Grace your life would not come to an end in Jesus name.
What must come to an end even before the year ends is the stubborn challenge that has held you down for years. The season of its expiration is here in Jesus name.
How do I know? A few examples are found in the Holy Bible.
Ezekiel 32 vs. 17 &18 ( KJV): “ It came to pass also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me saying,
Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, and with them that go down into the pit”.
Beloved, today is the 15th day in the twelfth month, may God in his mercy give you the Word that you need to overcome any challenge in Jesus name.
We must realize however that God has many ways of releasing the Word. It could be through dreams, visions, word of knowledge, word of wisdom or even in a sermon by an anointed minister of God.
To receive a word that would end a challenge, you may have to be in the right place at the right time to catch the Word. This could be during a church programme.
As you receive the Word my prayer for you is that the Lord gives you the Grace to act on the Word.
To receive the Word for a breakthrough is something but the grace to act on it brings miracles to physical manifestation,
The question is how do you receive the Word? Do you do so doubting if it is for you?. Do you doubt if it would work?. Do you receive it grudgingly?
We are told in Colossians 3 vs. 16&17: “ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him”.
When the word is released, a Believer must know it is time to rejoice. It simply means freedom from that challenge is near.
It is indeed the time to worship the Lord with praises and thanksgiving and before you know it , the testimony has manifested.
It’s also important that when the Word is released, it should be made a prayer point. By so doing, you are reminding the LORD of His promises that never fail.
Brethren, December is the month to rejoice. It is the month that challenges must roll away for you to experience a new beginning in a new year.
Jeremiah 52 vs. 31 tells us : “ And it came to pass in seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Eviomerodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison”.
Note – “ in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month”. In today’s calendar that is 25th of December. One king took the decision to set another free. He brought the King of Judah out of prison . Beloved, I don’t know which prison, the enemy has kept you, this month by the Grace of God, you would be set free in Jesus name.
Brethren, you have heard many times that it is better to rejoice when we have challenges . As human beings this may be difficult but what should give us strength to rejoice is Christ in us.
Believe me, we have a Saviour that never fails. He doesn’t charge you any fee. What the Lord needs from you is your faith, obedience and thanksgiving. In summary, ensure you walk with the Lord.
God desires that we walk with him.
Genesis 17 vs. 1: “ And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect”.
Simply instruction, walk with God and your life would be stress free.
The Lord said to Abram in verses 2 : “And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply exceedingly”.
You want to be multiplied? God can multiply you biologically by giving you children. He can also multiply you financially. In any area of life that you seek multiplication, the Lord is able.
All you need do is Walk with God. Obedience to the commandments of God is not as difficult as most people assume. It is the path to a peaceful life.
In verse four of the same chapter, God said to Abram “ As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations”.
Are you prepared to be father of many nations? Then begin to walk with God if you haven’t been doing so. Do you also want to be a mother of many nations? . It is possible with God.
If Abram at age 99 had hopes, then you too should remain hopeful. That same God that did it for Abram is still available to fill your home with your biological children.
Even if you are unmarried at 50, it still does not mean that you would never get married if only you walk with God.
If you have been walking with God, then fast track your footsteps with prayer and thanksgiving.
That you are alive is an indication that the LORD is still working on your case.
Age is irrelevant when God has programmed you for a miracle.
With you holding on to him, that miracle would manifest in a way that would keep you dumbfounded.
Brethren, you don’t need to lock yourself up this season. When others are rejoicing, condition your mind to rejoice too because very soon those that mock you would soon join your celebration.
Recently, a lady that has lost hope of getting married, got married at the age of 49. She was surprised at the Lord’s doing.
As the year winds down, I urge you to create more time to give thanks to God in praises and worship.
There cannot be too much of praises of God.
The Holy Bible tells us Psalm 22 vs. 3 &4 : “ But thou are holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel . Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didn’t deliver them”.
To rejoice in the Lord with praises and thanksgiving is a demonstration of our trust in the Lord.
It is one of the simplest ways to lift up our faith.
Praise singing as a habit may have no meaning to those that hear you but with it, you are inviting the presence of the Lord.
When the Lord steps into your situation, you are bound to give a testimony.
The presence of God wipes out tears and sorrow. It ushers in joy, peace and love.
May God help us to worship him at all times.
Brethren, the end of the year is the time you should begin to expect the end of any challenge.
In this season of joy, as you resolve to walk with God with praises, thanksgiving and worship, you are moving closer to your testimony.
Beloved, the choice is yours. To remain on the same spot that you have been for years, or to walk with God and end up rejoicing.
Remember at all times that Jesus is the burden bearer.
Matthew 11 vs. 28 attests to this. “ Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Brethren, the last month of the year is your season of rest from all challenges.
Rejoice in the Lord always.
Shalom!
