Concerned Igbo business people worldwide have selected one of their sons, Chief Chidi Anyaegbu, CEO Chisco Motors as Mayor Ndi Igbo.

They will crown him tomorrow at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island Lagos.

According to the Igbo business community, the reason he was selected was his track record as an astute businessman who has distinguished himself as a peaceful person and notable intercessor when Igbo businesses are threatened anywhere in the world.

Chairman Media and Publicity Committee of the Innauguration, Chief Ifeanyichukwu Agwu, who addressed the press on the plans towards the coronation, said: “The selection of Chief Chidi Anyaegbu as Mayor Ndi Igbo reflects the Igbo business community’s recognition of his leadership and contributions. His track record as an accomplished businessman and a mediator in resolving disputes affecting Igbo businesses globally highlights his suitability for the role.

“The Igbo community has faced significant challenges, including attacks on their businesses in parts of Nigeria, leading to financial losses and casualties. “These incidents are often attributed to envy or a lack of understanding of Igbo entrepreneurial strategies.

“The selection of Chief Anyaegbu aims to provide a unifying figure who can mediate and protect the interests of Igbo business people in times of crisis.

“The official crowning ceremony, scheduled to take place at Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos, signifies the formal recognition of his new role” he added.

It is expected that this development could strengthen the Igbo business community’s cohesion and enhance their ability to address future challenges collectively.
