Ace magazine entertainment journey describes how Reechdee gets his moniker changed from Rich Darlington to Reechdee.

He may have been born “Rich Darlibgton” but the Afro pop sensation and at 23 the youngster is known professionally as Reechdee and will always be RICH to his fans. 

Growing up in Lagos, Nigeria, young Richy loved the crime thriller genre of movies and would often refer to himself as Richy amongst his pairs. As he explained to Ace Magazine “My mother would say, ‘You like feeling yourself too much, like e get where you keep money”, So she started calling me Richy and when she wants to whine me she would often call me Reechy Dee. That’s the only name my mother called me my whole life. My mother never called me by my real name, my whole life. All she ever called me was Richy. That became my name, that became who I was when I went outside to play, when I went to school, when I went to church, Richy.”

Afro pop sensation dropped the “Darlington” middle name when following the expected release of his new project. 

It is believed the the artist changed his moniker to “Reechdee” for the release of his lastest project coming soon this year 2025. The social media space have been buzzing since the artist took to social media to announce of the change in moniker. Fans and music lovers are having a field day with this conversation, which makes experts to believe that the artist should have a project on the ways admist the entire buzz.
