Why we will honor outstanding young African leaders—Group

The CEOs Network Africa has unveiled plans to honour excelling young African leaders in Nigeria.

A statement made available to Vanguard, the young leaders have been driving change and innovation across the continent.

Noting that they will be hosted at a Gala night, scheduled for December 15, 2024, the founder of CEOs Network Africa, Alli-Bob Cinwon, expressed pride in the accomplishments of young Africans.

He further highlighted the overwhelming response to this year’s nominations.

“This year’s gala underscores the boundless potential and resilience of African youth.

“The overwhelming number of high-quality nominations we received—over 14,000—proves that Africa is truly on the rise.

“We are proud to provide a platform to showcase the leaders shaping our continent’s future,” Cinwon stated.

Echoing these sentiments, Co-founder Omojo Wada emphasized the creativity and determination evident in the nominations.

“The caliber of nominations reflects the ingenuity and tenacity of young Africans. It’s inspiring to see such talent, and we are honored to celebrate them at this gathering of trailblazers and visionaries,” she remarked.

The event will host distinguished guests, including Vice President Kashim Shettima; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila;

 Honourable Minister of Youth, Ayodele Olawande; Honourable Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Barr. Hannatu Musa Musawa; Director-General of Voice of Nigeria, Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace; and renowned businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Ibrahim Dende, among other dignitaries from across Africa.

This year’s honorees exemplify leadership and innovation in their fields. Olori Atuwatse III, Queen of the Warri Kingdom, will receive the Cultural Heritage Award for her contributions to preserving African traditions. Alhaji Chief Ibrahim Egungbohun Dende (IB Dende) will be honored with the Philanthropy and Humanitarian Award, while Seyi Vodi, founder of Vodi Group, will also be recognized for his impact on cultural heritage, while Mr. Mustapha Tijjani Banki of Bankroll Investment Limited, Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan SAN, Mohammed Tijani Sabiu of Impeccable Impressions, 

J.J. Usman SAN, will get special recognition awards.
