A filmmaker, who is a notable member of Association of Movie Producers of Nigeria and an international businessman and promoter has explained why he is throwing his weight behind MC Obaro”s comedy show coming up in Benin City on November 22, 2024.

He said it is part of his contribution to further grow the entertainment industry in Edo state, claiming that Edo State remains the hub of entertainment in Nigeria, hence his resolve to make the show something special while entrenching Edo State the capital City of entertainment in Nigeria.

He said, “Edo state has been at the forefront of Nigeria’s entertainment industry since the sixties and the records are there to show.”

“And in light of this fact, we will not let our guards down as we plan to make this fourth edition of “Comedy Appointment with MC Obaro” a special one with top artistes lined-up to come and thrill their fans.”

“The event which will hold on the 22nd of November at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub on Airport Road in Benin City will have comedy heavyweights like I Go Dye, Akpororo, Mr Paul, MC Pashun, with rap sensation Magnito spice up the event.

” But that is not all, MC Casino, Sarkin Dariya, MC Alamano are among the exclusive line-up to give show goers value for their money.

He added that; “this show will also give MC Obaro an opportunity not just to reach out to his fans but to break barriers and further cement his status among the greats”

“As many are already aware, MC Obaro has been in the industry for over a decade and has performed in some of the biggest comedy and music concerts across the length and breath of Nigeria and this November 22 will present the much needed avenue to showcase and carve a niche as an A-list performer”.

Apart from show productions, Ojo said part of his aspirations is to not just put Edo on the global entertainment map, but to make the State a hub which will in turn provide grounds for the highest level of professionalism. 

The serial businessman particularly noted that he is deeply passionate to support and harness talented practitioners in music, movies and comedy sectors of the entertainment industry..
