Height is primarily influenced by genetics, along with factors like diet and healthcare, resulting in some countries having some of the tallest people in the world.

When one or both parents are shorter, their child is more likely to inherit a similar stature, especially if both carry the same genetic traits.

In addition to genetics, countries with the tallest people often benefit from good healthcare systems and diets rich in essential nutrients.

Based on a 2023 survey by the World Population Review, here are the top five countries with the tallest average heights:

Netherlands

With an average height of 1.838 metres (6 ft), the Netherlands ranks as the tallest country in the world. This is often attributed to genetics, healthcare, and a nutrient-rich diet.

Montenegro

The average height in Montenegro is 1.832 metres (approximately 6 ft). Montenegrins benefit from a Mediterranean diet and active lifestyles, which contribute to their impressive height.

Denmark

In Denmark, the average height is 1.826 metres (just under 6 ft). The country’s tall stature can be linked to its high standard of living, quality healthcare, and balanced diets.

Serbia
