Former Minister of Defence, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, SAN, has called on voters in Ondo State to cast their votes for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, in the upcoming governorship election on Saturday.

Kayode emphasized that a vote for Aiyedatiwa would ensure the continuity of projects initiated by the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, across Ondo State. He noted that Aiyedatiwa’s leadership would both complete these existing projects and pave the way for new developments.

According to Kayode, supporting a party aligned with the federal government is essential for sustained growth in the state. He pointed out that the last time Ondo State had two substantive ministers was during President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration, a feat recently repeated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who appointed two ministers from the state.

“It would be a sign of ingratitude if voters in Ondo State abandon a government that has influence at the federal level for an opposition party,” Kayode remarked.

He added that Ondo State’s alignment with the APC would bring more national-level developmental projects to the state, providing citizens with greater benefits and access to the dividends of democracy.
