Nollywood actor and realtor, Adefemi Olasebikan popularly known as Femi Lash has said that Nigeria’s film industry, Nollywood is helping to reshape the Nigerian socieity.
The actor who said this during a recent interview noted that the reason for his stance is because most of the movies being produced in Nollywood now address societal ills and morals.
According to him” I would say it’s been mainly positive impact, the acting world has been helping to reshape our society in a more formal and decorous way, because most of the movies being released tend to focus more on moral values “
The Osun State-born actor during the interview also advised those that want to join the industry to do so without doubt, saying ” I would say if you know you have the talent and the passion for the craft , never relent , don’t give up , give it your all. What’s worth doing at all is worth doing well.
“Don’t let anyone talk you down or intimidate you. Work your muscle out , if you can venture into the industry with your own funds the better for you and most importantly, move with God”.
Femi Lash while speaking on his background said that ” I’m from Ilesha, Osun State but born and bred in Ibadan Oyo State. I had my primary school education at Richmab International School, Ibadan and secondary school education at Abadina college, Ibadan before proceeding to study urban and regional planning at the Osun State University.
“I have my Masters in view. I started acting in year 2016 under the tutelage of Yewande Adekoya, and I’ve featured in about 100 movies so far. Even though I like to keep a low profile”, he added.
Mr. Femi Lash also speaks on how he balances being an entrepreneur and an actor, stating ” I started my acting career before I ventured fully into real estate, it’s hasn’t really been a rollercoaster journey combining both.
“Both professions gulp and entail a lot of time and dedication. Being a man that values his time, I’ve been able to balance it up without letting one affect the other and I also have workers that assist in that regard. Even though real estate fetches me more money , the movie profession is what I have an undying passion for”.
He added that he could only allow his male children to follow his footsteps of being an actor and not the female children for personal reasons.
