The 17th Stardom Global Awards is set to honour preeminent Nigerians who have made significant contributions to the country’s development.

The prestigious event, organised by Stardom Global Television, recognises individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and governance in their respective fields.

This year’s recipients include Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi, who will receive the Governor of the Year (Civil Service Development) award, and Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa, who will be honored as Governor of the Year (Infrastructure).

Other notable awardees are Engr. Gbenga Komolafe, CEO of Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), who will receive the Downstream Petroleum Sector Personality of the Year award, and Hon. Alhassan Doguwa, member of the Nigerian House of Representatives, who will be honored as Federal House of Representatives Member of the Year.

The entertainment industry will also be represented, with music sensation Davido taking home the Artist of the Year award. Royal Father of the Year will be awarded to Oniba of Egbaland, Adesina Raji Ashadi.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on December 5, 2024, at 4 pm at NICON Luxury Hotel Abuja. Awardees will also be inducted into the Stardom Hall of Fame in recognition of their outstanding contributions to society.
