TO support deserving communities, the Daramola Dynasty Foundation (DDF), in partnership with some corporate organisations, has provided food relief to over 3,000 families and essential healthcare services to 500 beneficiaries in Isara-Remo, Ogun State, at this year’s Afotamodi Day celebration.
In a statement sent to Vanguard, the DDF Founder, Olanrewaju Daramola, said, “Today, we didn’t just serve meals or provide medicine; we offered hope and solidarity. Each moment underscored the importance of uplifting one another to build a healthier, more resilient future for our community.”
According to Daramola, “The Foundation’s outreach efforts, rooted in compassion and commitment, this initiative combined cultural celebration with a powerful community mission. This initiative not only marked a cultural celebration but also highlighted a strong mission to uplift the community.
Key partners that strengthened the outreach included UAC Foods for the food bank drive; Eye Foundation Hospital and Federal Medical Centre, Isara, for the medical services.
During the event, skilled medical professionals and dedicated volunteers offered comprehensive health services, including blood pressure, blood sugar, and vision screenings, along with free health counseling.
Beneficiaries shared heartfelt stories, with a grandmother from Iperu ward expressing gratitude for her restored vision from the cataract surgery, saying, “For years, I prayed for a chance to see my family’s faces clearly again. Today, because of the Foundation, I am blessed to see my grandchildren’s smiles once more.”
Another beneficiary, a young mother from Ilisan ward, expressed, “This outreach means everything to us. Feeding my children has been a daily struggle, and knowing there are people who care fills my heart with hope, especially this Christmas season.”
Additionally, through the Daramola Dynasty Foundation ProSkills Accelerator programme in October 2024, the Foundation awarded N1million grant to five promising businesses. This grant, aimed at empowering local youth and entrepreneurs, empowers youth and local entrepreneurs with skills in five professional development tracks ranging from cyber security, product/content marketing, fashion design, agriculture/livestock farming, and digital asset trading. Selected recipients expressed their gratitude, sharing that the funding will enable them to further community development through their businesses.
This outreach reflects our growing commitment and the expansion of our 2023 efforts across Ogun State and Nigeria,” shared by the Project Lead, Vanessa Kelechi. “We are dedicated to sustainable solutions, with data-driven feedback guiding our focus on community needs, especially in health care and by supporting families.”
