Eleventh hour help is available, by Funmi Komolafe

Insecurity

Brethren, in less than 60 days, the year 2024 would become history. When we have a deep reflection, we’ll thank God for his goodness and mercy that has kept us alive. Can you imagine the no of people that God gives the breath of life daily? The ability of God to give life is also for animals, birds, plants etc. indeed all-living things. God is awesome. With this appreciation of the work of God , one cannot but praise the Lord of lords and the King of kings.

However, the reality is that while some are looking back with thanksgiving, others are either expectant or are fast losing hope. The eleventh hour is as symbolic as the 11th month. From the point of view of human beings the 11th month, is an indication that the year running out and may mean that a particular goal or heart’s desires may not be achieved. Humanly speaking that may be correct especially when all events around one points to that direction.

Not so with God because, “ With God all things are possible”, Matthew 19 vs. 26 ( KJV) gives us that assurance. It states, “ But Jesus behold them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible”. Human beings are limited but God is unlimited and cannot be limited by any one. So, to some people, the 11th month is the time to give up because they feel that if they couldn’t attain their goals in the 11th month , what hope is there or them?.

The 11th month is the month that people in need of changes in their situation are tempted to see failure rather than success. The Bible is however filled with stories that assure us that help from above at the 11th hour saved many. For you, this 11th month , may be the beginning of the manifestation of that long awaited miracle. What is needed to key into an 11th month miracle is help from above. If you have failed in the last 10months to attain our desired goal, you need to ask for 11th hour help from God.

Those that cry for the help of God are those that no human being can help. They are those that have lost hope . So, they ask for help from above. They take their cases to God with desperate cries. Mark my words, Cry for help’. Crying is a sign that the person that the prayerful Christian has become desperate. Such a person may see humiliation staring at him because of a particular challenge. Peter saw Jesus walking on water and asked that he be invited to join in the great walk on water.

Jesus consented but something happened that made Peter cry instead of enjoying the walk with Christ. Let’s see the story of Peter in Matthew 14 vs. 28-31 ( KJV), “ And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Brethren, many people at the stage of the 11th hour have blurred spiritual vision just like Peter. People tend to see failure, hopelessness rather than victory of over challenges. The 11th month is the time that doubt begins to set in. Perhaps there is a woman reading this article who has been given an ultimatum to conceive or be replaced. Or another woman that wants to take over her home is threatening her. These are battles that you cannot fight yourself.

When a woman is confronted with situations like this, she would be unable to save herself like Peter. Therefore what she needs is help from above. Peter got the help of God at the 11th hour, the hour that he saw nothing but death and he was saved. You too can key into the 11th month miracle and be saved from humiliation. Indeed help from above in the remaining days of the 11th month can move you from humiliation to celebration.

Help that you need to be saved is available but you need to get connected with prayer as the key. For a person that finds herself or himself in the 11th hour situation, Psalm 38 vs. 21 and 22 provides a prayer point to use to cry for help. It states, “ “ Forsake me not, O LORD; O my God, be not far from me. Make haste to help me , O Lord my salvation”. This is the prayer of a person that is aware that unless God helps, unless God saves, hope is lost. It is not just a prayer for help. it is a prayer to ask for quick intervention. It is a prayer of a person who desperately wants a particular challenge out of her life.

The prayer is to invite the LORD not just to help but also to do so quickly. No wonder the Psalmist said in Psalm 121 vs. 1&2 “ I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD which made heaven and earth”. The Creator of heaven and earth, created man and He is the only one that make conception occur. Brethren, do not allow the 11th month pass away without God’s help for you. God is the only helper that succeeds where human beings fail or are limited. I’ll share with you the testimony of a lady who visited her in-laws with her husband.

They told her that she has been wasting the time of their son and they want to see their grandchildren. She calmly replied that they would soon hear the shouts of joy. At this time, she was not pregnant but she saw clearly that her marriage could be under threat. She ran to Jesus for help. The challenge made her become a prayer warrior. Praying at all times. The helper that never fails gives us an assurance in Isaiah 41 vs. 10-13: Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee; they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. For I the LORD thy God will hold they right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee”. May God give you the grace to cast away the spirit of fear and doubt during the 11th month.

The 11th month is the time that if you continue to stand with God and cry for quick help, you would overcome. We need not submit our faith to challenges by giving up. Our assurance that we would overcome is found in the words of our Lord Jesus in John 16 vs. 33: “ These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation : but be of good cheer ; I have overcome the world”. Christ has overcome all challenges on your behalf. May God intervene in your situation before the year runs out in Jesus name. Be at peace with the LORD and remain prayerful.
