It was a morning of songs of praise to God, joy and reflections as the founder of TDA Group Africa, Mr. Dare Aliu, popularly known as TDA celebrated his 40th birthday in a grand ceremony and launched his autobiography titled ‘Everything Will Be Alright.’

The event took place at the Civic Centre in Lagos, drawing together family, friends, and respected guests to recognize Aliu’s achievements and share in the powerful story behind his journey.

Speaking to newsmen on the sideline about turning 40, Aliu expressed gratitude and excitement about reaching this milestone. “It feels exhilarating to reach this age of 40, and I am deeply thankful to God Almighty for showering me with His unending grace,” he said with emotion. “As I look back on my journey, I am even more grateful for the gift of family, my beautiful wife and kids, and for the gift of friendship and lifelong relationships that have shaped me.”

He went on to share that these reflections played a key role in motivating him to write his book, where he hopes to inspire others who may be facing difficult circumstances.

Aliu’s autobiography was inspired by a personal experience during a visit to a school in Yaba. There, he met a quiet boy named Bosun, who reminded him of his younger self. “Bosun didn’t ask questions like his classmates, but something in his silence struck me,” Aliu recounted. “After the program, I approached him, and that conversation sparked the inspiration for the title of my book.”

Everything Will Be Alright tells the story of Aliu’s life—from the hardships of losing his father at the age of two, growing up in the rough streets of Obalende and Abule Egba, to achieving success as the founder of TDA Group.

The book is meant to give hope to people going through tough times. “I want every reader to understand that no matter how difficult life gets, there’s hope for a better future,” he emphasized.

In the book, Aliu who also has business interests in engineering, fashion and technology shares some of the most important lessons he has learned over the years. One of these is the value of treating everyone with respect and kindness, regardless of their financial or social status. “There is much more to life than money,” he stressed. “Grace should be continually extended to others, even more so to those who are clearly disadvantaged by life circumstances.”

He also reflected on the importance of having supportive people in one’s life. “Not everyone in your life will support you, even if they understand your dreams,” he said. “But those who are truly meant to support you will do so.”

Readers can look forward to exploring key themes in Everything Will Be Alright, such as friendship, resilience, integrity, and ambition. Aliu believes these qualities played a major role in his journey to success, despite the many challenges he faced.

He wants readers to be inspired to pursue their goals with determination and to stay true to their values.

During the event, Aliu spoke about the therapeutic nature of writing the book. “Writing can be revealing and challenging at the same time. I discovered that authors have superpowers because it’s not easy to remember things that happened decades ago without leaving out key details,” he said with a smile.

As Aliu steps into the next decade of his life, he has a clear vision of the legacy he hopes to leave behind. “I want to be remembered as someone who made a positive impact on the lives of others,” he said. “Through my work, my family, and my contributions to the community, I hope to leave a lasting impression of kindness, loyalty, empathy, and inspiration.”

He also offered words of advice to his younger self and to those facing tough times: “Always be prepared for opportunities. Make a mark as the problem solver and strive to be a person of value who brings something meaningful to the table.”

The event ended on a high note, with guests offering heartfelt wishes to Aliu on his birthday and the release of his book. There was a celebratory toast by his wife, cake-cutting, and speeches from close friends and family members who spoke of his journey and the impact he has made on their lives.

Aliu’s Everything Will Be Alright is now available, with readers anticipating the wealth of wisdom and inspiration he shares through his life story. For Aliu, this is just the beginning of a new chapter—one that promises even greater things to come.
