Rising artist Double XL, born Nwakor C. Meshach, announces the release of his highly anticipated EP, “On My Way.”

Born and raised in Delta State and originally from Anambra State, Double XL’s music career began at a young age, from dancing at events to joining cultural dance groups, igniting a passion for performance that has culminated in this powerful EP.

“On My Way” is more than just music—it’s a deeply personal project that reflects Double XL’s journey of self-discovery and his commitment to making his mark in the music industry. “This EP conveys a message to the world: I am here, and I am claiming my place in the industry,” he says.

One of the standout tracks, “Diamonds and Pearls,” features Afro-pop artist Biggest Savage and blends unique soundscapes that reflect Double XL’s individuality and rare talent. Another track, “Shayo,” addresses the pain of heartbreak and betrayal, offering listeners a sense of healing and consolation through its heartfelt lyrics.

In “God’s Willing,” Double XL opens up about his spirituality, expressing his gratitude for the clarity and vision his faith has provided him. “This song speaks to my relationship with God and how far He has brought me,” he shares.

The EP also includes “Best Buddies,” featuring Vehnorm, a song for the ladies inspired by a girl who captured his heart, and “Loving,” a track that resonates with anyone seeking reassurance from a crush. Both tracks highlight Double XL’s appreciation for Afro-pop and his ability to channel personal experiences into universal themes of love and connection.

The final track, “Gospel Gangsta,” stands as a defining anthem, encapsulating Double XL’s personality and spirituality. “This track is about being a gospel preacher reaching out to the streets in a language people can understand,” he explains. “It reflects my life path and my commitment to positivity in music.”

Through “On My Way,” Double XL hopes to connect with listeners and inspire positivity in a world where negativity often prevails. “My sound speaks to my soul, so I am careful with my words. I want to pass on a positive message in the best way possible,” he says.

Double XL, born on November 1, 1998, is an artist on the rise with a compelling story and a strong voice. With “On My Way,” he’s setting a powerful example for artists across Africa, making his mark not only with soulful melodies but also with a clear mission to uplift and inspire.
