In a remarkable step towards promoting cultural understanding, cooperation and exchanges between China and Burkina Faso, Zheng Xiaopeng, CEO and Publisher of Africa China News (ACN), on Wednesday, October 16, paid an official visit to Ambassador Pascal Passida Gouba, Charge’ d’Affaires and Deputy Permanent Representative of Burkina Faso in Abuja.

The visit was aimed at exploring potential partnerships and collaborations between China and Burkina Faso, focusing on cultural exchanges and mutual understanding.

Mr. Zheng Xiaopeng shared his experiences gained from years of living in Africa, particularly Nigeria, outlining the continent’s rich cultural diversity.

”Africa is endowed with a rich diverse cultural heritage just as China, and it is ACN’s mission to showcase this diversity, fostering better understanding and connections between Africans and the Chinese.”

”This meeting heralding a significant step towards strengthening cultural exchanges and ties between China and Burkina Faso and ACN is poised to play a vital role in this regard,” he continued.

”By promoting cross-cultural cooperation, understanding and exchanges, ACN hopes to bridge the gap between these two nations, fostering a deeper appreciation and respect for their diverse heritage. As this partnership prospers, we can expect to see a plethora of cultural events, exchanges and initiatives that will further enrich our understanding of China and Burkina Faso’s unique cultural landscapes,” Mr. Xiaopeng said.

Ambassador Pascal Passida Gouba in his response expressed gratitude for Xiaopeng’s initiative and commended ACN’s dedication to promoting culture and cultural exchanges not only between China and Burkina Faso, but between China and Africa at large.

”I wish to reiterate the Embassy’s willingness and determination to collaborate with ACN in creating new vistas for a fruitful partnership,” he stated.
