Brethren, let’s continue to appreciate God for the month of a new beginning. The Lord has seen us through the past seven months. Glory be to God.
Brothers and sisters, do you know that you are alive for a purpose? May the Lord reveal his plans for you in Jesus name.
The month of August is commonly called the “ Month of New Beginning”.
A new beginning signifies a shift from an old or stagnant position to a new one.
It is the time that the old order changes. The question is are you prepared for a new beginning? Do you believe it is possible? Brethren it is possible.
The Holy Bible tells us in Luke 1 vs. 37 ( KJV): “ For with God nothing shall be impossible”.
The season of a new beginning is the time for a new song. It is the time that one moves from lamentation to celebration.
Often times, we cannot do it alone because such a shift in life requires forces of heaven working with you and this doesn’t happen by chance. It takes some efforts on your part for this to occur.
Psalm 116 vs. 6-8 tells us: “ The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.
Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling”.
Brethren, doctors might have told you that you case is impossible, don’t allow your spirit to accept that. Rather, let your mind continuously remind you that your case is not impossible with God.
When you condition your mind to this, it is a demonstration of your faith and confidence in God.
1st John 5 vs. 14&15: “ And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:
And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him”.
Brethren, examine yourself. Are you asking according to his will?
If you want to be pregnant by all means or you want to have children by all means and you resort to adultery that is not the will of God.
You may have a ‘relief’ temporarily but the long-term effect would bring tears and sorrow because it is not according to the will of God.
I’m sure you know that adultery is a sin.
Barrenness, stagnation of whatever kind, be it the one that makes you single for years, or the one that you work and have nothing to show for it or some ailment has incapacitated you, all are different forms of bondage.
Perhaps you are not enjoying your marriage due to inability to conceive or even economic issues, sister, it is a another type of bondage but the Almighty God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth is able to deliver you and give you a new song.
Let me share with you an amazing testimony given during the Holy Communion and Anointing Service of R.C.C.G during its just concluded 72nd Annual Convention.
A lady testified that she had her first monthly period at the age of 14. Then suddenly it ceased though she was not pregnant. This challenge made her move from one doctor to another. Each of the doctors had to treat her with some injection to cause her to have her monthly period.
She said all attempts to have a stable relationship failed. According to her once the man knows the challenge, “ he would run away”. No man wanted to marry a woman that is unable to have a monthly period.
Brethren, you would agree with me that this is what is called ‘ a hopeless case’.
Now, let’s learn a few lessons? What could have caused her period to cease? There could be a medical explanation for this but we are not discussing science here.
Brethren, some forces of darkness may be at work. Could it be that some enemies had seen that she would have glorious children and moved against her? Possibly.
However, She met a man that married her. He must be a man who genuinely loves her and is determined to work with her to overcome the challenge.
Of course, they continued the medical consultation and were advised to have a child by surrogacy.
She said, “ How can I have a child for my husband that I would not be the one that carried the baby”. She therefore rejected that option but chose to turn to God.
In other words, she knew that human efforts are unable to give her the new beginning that she desires.
According to her, after one of the programmes of the church that she attended, she begged an usher to allow her get close to the chair that Daddy G.O., Pastor Enoch Adeboye the General Overseer of R.C.C.G sat, the usher reluctantly agreed, giving her a few minutes . She prayed a simple prayer, “ O God let the Anointing on Daddy G.O. overshadow me and make me have my baby”.
After this, the church had a fasting session. She decided to participate. Suddenly, she saw her period for the first time without being assisted by a doctor.
Note what fasting produced for her. It simply tells us we have to sacrifice something to have a break through.
Jesus told his disciples that stubborn situations would not change except with fasting and prayer.
Matthew 17 vs.21: “ Howeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting”.
The next month, she conceived. The pregnancy period was hitch free.
To the glory of God, she delivered a baby boy.
She presented the baby while she gave her testimony. For her, it’s a new beginning. God has moved her from lamentation to celebration.
Brethren, a lot of lessons to learn from her testimony.
To be confronted with challenges related to the delay in child bearing as a teenager, must have been traumatic for her and even her parents.
But she didn’t lose hope.
The lesson for us is that we should not pay attention to what people say about us but what God says about us.
This lady knew that God, her creator is able to help her.
Brethren, to whom do you turn for help?
A new beginning is the end of a delay. It is the time to move from tears of sorrow to tears of joy.
Be confident that a new beginning of joy is possible provided you remain connected to the God of all flesh.
A person that needs a new beginning cannot afford to be quite.
According to Pastor J.T. Kalejaiye of R.C.C.G, “ a closed mouth is a closed destiny”.
Beloved you need to cry to the one that can help you, the one whose power is beyond human comprehension, the Almighty God.
Psalm 70 vs. 5 is a prayer that everyone that needs God’s intervention in life must pray regularly.
It states: “ But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying”.
As you ask God to help you, you must ask for the Lord’s Mercy.
No one cries to the Lord for Mercy and gets nothing.
A new beginning occurs when the Light of God overshadows darkness in your life.
Challenges in the life of a Christian are manifestations of the forces of the darkness but the Light of God is able to overshadow them.
In the name of Jesus your season of celebration is here if you believe if you believe and trust that God is able to move you from lamentation to celebration.
Stop lamenting. It cannot move you to celebration, only God can.
If you spend time lamenting, you obviously won’t have faith that is required to bring about a breakthrough.
This season as the LORD lives, an end would come to lamentation and you would celebrate in Jesus name.
The Lord reigns forever.
