The emotional impact of losing an important document can be exhausting. The process of recovery is even worse; so stressful and usually energy sapping.

So, it sounds incredible when a value added service provider promises you that a long lost document can be recovered and returned to you at the comfort of your home. But that is exactly what a VAS provider Zioncity Innovation Services Limited, says it does, through a web-based app, Back2U.

Back2U is a subscription app where subscribers input details of lost documents and within 48 hours, have them recovered.  Official documents, Back2U promises to find and return to their legitimate owners include passports, driving licenses, certificates among others.

Unveiling the app in Lagos, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Zioncity Hero Usiagwu, said  the process of recovering lost documents in the country has never been streamlined before now and Back2U was birthed to do the streamlining.

He said: “At the point of discovering this gap, we developed  BACK2U,  which is to streamline the process of recovering lost and found documents to alleviate the stress previously associated with it.”

Also Director Back2U Cameroon, Ngu Denuff Akongwe, explained that the service is available to MTN subscribers for now, stressing that it took about three years before MTN on boarded the VAS service on its network after thorough scrutiny.

Akongwe gave details of the process potential users can subscribe to the service conveniently adding that subscribing to the app is pocket friendly as there are daily plans (B2UD) at N50/day; weekly plan of N200 (B2UW) and monthly plan of N500 (B2UM) once a subscriber inputs the 7244 code.

Hear him: “When a subscriber has been consistent with subscription whether daily, weekly or monthly and he/she misplaced any documents, he should notify and report the matter.  Back2U  will look for the lost items and return them. However, should we not be able to get it within the stipulated time, we will ask the owner to go get another set of the missing documents and  Back2U  will refund the expenses made.”     

According to him, the service which is licensed by the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC serves people in Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Ghana and is hoping to go live in Kenya soonest.
