BENIN CITY – THE governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen Monday Okpebholo has promised a better life for the several communities he visited in Edo central Senatorial district as part of the party’s ward-to ward campaign.
He stated this when he visited the people in his home town of Ujabhole in Ewesan, Esan Central local government area where he said “my people have asked me not to bother to campaign here because we have their support and votes already” he told them his administration would bring government back to the people saying there is a yawning gap between the current gap and the people.
In Igueben, the party received hundreds of members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP) and Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) where the Director General of the All Progressive Congress Campaign Council , Matthew Urhoghide assured them of fair treatment saying all members are equal in the APC.
He said he believed in Monday Okpebholo as a good candidate that would listen to the yearning of the people.
On his part, Coordinator of APC campaign council in Edo Central Senatorial District, Hon. Odianosen Okojie appealed to the decampees to come out on September 21 to cast their votes for the APC.
A former governor of Edo State, Sen Adams Oshiomhole, speaking at Irrua , headquarters of Esan Central Local government area, said, “PDP as a party has no candidate as we talk, the federal high court Abuja has said so. The process that brought Asue Ighodalo in the primaries was also faulted by the federal high court in Abuja, so don’t go and waste your vote for PDP.”
Also speaking, the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Denis Idahosa, informed the party supporters to ensure that on September 21, the votes casted from the Esan Central Local government is hundreds percent for the APC.
