In a significant development for the Nigerian film industry, ace actor and producer, Jim Iyke, is embarking on a groundbreaking new film.

This Amazon original, and 6th Sense Production project, touts a budget in excess of $2.5 million, and has been shrouded in mystery, with sources close to the project revealing intriguing details under the condition of anonymity.

Despite Amazon’s recent departure from Nigeria, the tech giant remains involved in this high-profile film, which has been in the works since March this year. Known for his preference for privacy, Jim Iyke, has, however, kept the project tightly under wraps.

According to sources close to the star, there have been numerous closed-door meetings, heightened security measures, and unusual comings and goings, leaving us with more questions than answers.

This ambitious 6th Sense Productions project, sources say, is set to be filmed across four international locations: Atlanta, Georgia; Ghana; France; and Lagos.
Currently, Iyke is in Paris, scouting locations for the scenes to be shot in France.

While the details of the film remain confidential, it is known that David Eruotor and Joy Grant-Ekong, an award-winning producer, are part of the creative team, producing alongside Iyke, who is executive producer, co-writer and starring in the project. This collaboration promises to bring together their combined expertise to create a compelling and culturally significant narrative.

The project is set to have a considerable economic impact, employing well over 150 people. It stands as a testament to the potential of the Nigerian film industry to drive economic growth and create job opportunities. Iyke and his team are positioning themselves as key industry players, showcasing the power of African cinema on a global stage.

“We’re proud to be part of an industry that has the power to create jobs and stimulate economic growth,” Iyke told Vanguard.

“This film is more than just a story; it’s an opportunity to showcase the incredible talent we have and to make a tangible impact on the economy,” he said.

As preparations intensify and shooting begins, the anticipation for this film continues to build. Iyke, known for his engaging social media presence, has hinted at the project’s progress on his YouTube channel, keeping fans and industry watchers eagerly awaiting more details.

The combination of high-profile talent, substantial investment, and international locations positions this film as a landmark achievement in African cinema, and a significant milestone for the Nigerian film industry.
